Description

Stainless steel decorative spoon from Korea marked with character for "Long Life" (Su). Acquired in Korea in the 1970s. Never used. This stainless spoon is what replaced the old brass (hard-to-polish) spoons that were being turned in at the time. The spoon is stamped out of thin stainless steel. The very clear Long Life character was stamped as part of the manufacturing process (the lotus frame shows slightly through the spoon). In such situations Koreans use Chinese characters with Korean pronunciation - this character is "Su" (or Soo), Long Life. Shipping by USPS First Class Package U.S. addresses only, please.
